Midian is the fourth full-length album by Cradle of Filth, released on Halloween 2000. At the time it was considered their most commercial and accessible album to date. It is a concept album inspired by Clive Barker's novel Cabal and his subsequent film version Nightbreed. Midian is more guitar-oriented than its predecessors. The cover art was created by JK Potter.The song "Cthulhu Dawn" invokes the character from horror writer H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Many other heavy metal bands - including Metallica, Morbid Angel, and Bal-Sagoth - have namechecked Cthulhu.

I really love this album. It contains great tracks, great black metal tracks. Cthulhu Dawn, Saffron's Curse, Lord Abortion, Creatures that Kissed in Cold Mirrors, Her Ghost In The Fog. Basicly, I like them all. Cradle of Filth still have their magic touch exploring their nightmares into vampiric tracks. Built a dark atmosphere inside your
mind. into The world of Midian.

Souls to Deny is a 2004 album by the death metal band Suffocation marking the end of a 6-year hiatus. This is the first album featuring guitarist Guy Marchais (ex-Pyrexia, ex-Internal Bleeding) and marks the return of original drummer, Mike Smith. They did not have a bass player during the recording; bass guitar tracks on the album are played by Terrance Hobbs and Mike Smith. The cover artwork is from well-known artist Dan Seagrave.

The production is perfectly clean, the instruments sound incredible, and the vocals sound perfect (but not as guttural as in older albums), the mixing and mastering is great. The artwork is fabulous as every Suffocation album. So anyway this album is great for those who haven't heard Suffocation earlier work; and for those who have the album itself (without comparing it to Effigy... and Pierced...) is amazing, very good structured, and with awesome musicians (minus Doug Cerrito), a great album that must be heard by every metal head. Suffocation is always come up with freat materials, so I highly recommend this album.

Cradle of Filth's Bitter Suites to Succubi is essentially an EP - or "transitional mini album" as Dani Filth would have it - bridging the gap between Midian and Damnation and a Day while the band negotiated their label change from Music For Nations to Sony. It features only six new tracks (two of which are instrumentals), but is bolstered to album-length with three reworkings of songs from The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, and a cover version. It was the band's first release on their own Abracadaver label. Uniquely in the band's canon, it features exactly the same band members as the previous album. "Dinner at Deviant's Palace" is actually The Lord's Prayer played backwards.

Cryptopsy is a brutal death metal band from Canada. In 1994 they recorded their debut album, Blasphemy Made Flesh, which at first was independently released and
later licensed to Invasion Records. This album gained them a wide attention in the death metal underground scene.

I had this album in 2007. This record was 13 years old!! But I really love it the first time i played it on my CD player. The fast and melodic sounds grab my ears nicely. I am a big fans of old school death metal, and Cryptopsy was one of the biggest name in the scene when it comes to old school brutal death metal. It's pretty difficult to choose my favorit tracks, 'cos i like all of them. But, I really love Open Face Surgery and Pathological Frolic. Be sure to check it out, this one is bloody classic !!

Morbid Angel is a Florida-based death metal band assembled in 1983. Many says this band is one of the first genre to bring death metal to its brutal side.

Their songs are complex in arrangement, owing to the considerable technical skills of guitarist Trey Azagthoth and drummer Pete Sandoval. If you haven't notice, Morbid Angel albums have been released in alphabetical order. So far it's 'A to H' with 'heretic' is their last album. I love this album so much. The music is brutal death metal with classical influence. Their songs structure is differ from other death bands. Trey explore his darkest side and mixed it with classical riffs and matched it with the fast tempo of Pete's blastbeats drumming. So cool !!

'IN THE NIGHTSIDE ECLIPSE' is the debut album by Norwegian black metal band 'EMPEROR'. This album features one of their best-known song, "I am the Black Wizards", and is considered a defining album for the black metal genre. It also featured two cover songs as bonus tracks (listed below), the first of which also appears on the Bathory tribute album "In Conspiracy With Satan".

When you talking about 'Emperor', then you have to talk about complexity. Their music is - i say - complex atmospheric black metal. The blast beats drums is always mixed with keyboards and fast but catchy guitar riffs. Make their music so rich and atmospheric. And the scream.. well, it is black metal with Big B, indeed!! For you black metal freaks, you should have this one!!

Burzum began in 1991 as a prominent and influential Norwegian black metal solo project of Varg Vikernes (born Kristian Vikernes). Originally, he used the pseudonym Count Grishnackh. Burzum was instrumental in the crystallisation of early black metal, much of which is due to the infamy attributed to Vikernes since the murder of his former bandmate (Varg played bass on one of Mayhem's albums) Øystein Aarseth, who is known better to some by his stage name of "Euronymous".

Vikernes has described Burzum as a kind of "spell" or recreation of an imaginary world tied in with Pagan history. Vikernes claims the intent to create this fantasy world came from dissatisfaction with the real world. He has stated the "message" of Burzum can be found in the lyrics of the first song on this album (Feeble Screams From Forests Unknown)

In my oppinion, this album is really classic. Atmospheric. From start to finish, the tracks build an atmosphere of darkness, sadness, and despair. My favorits are Ea, Lord of The Depth and My Journey To The Stars. The riffs are so melodic that you won't easily forget, instead it will follow you through your dreams. Bringing your dark souls into surface. If you're a true black metal fans, you should have this one.
A Masterpiece !! Hail Darkness !!

Napalm Death are a grindcore/death metal band formed in the village of Meriden near Birmingham, England in 1982 by Nicholas Bullen and Miles Ratledge. The group are generally acknowledged as the group that invented the grindcore genre, a fusion of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The band thenprogressed from these beginnings after their first two albums and became a more death metal sounding band. But, however, 'till today, Napalm Death is still known as a 'Grindcore Pionner'.

Harmony Corruption is my favorit Napalm Death's album among others. In this album they progressed their grindcore style into a more death metal sound. The songs is more complex with more progressive death metal riffs and explorations, but still have the grindcore roots. In my opinion, Mark 'Barney' Greenway is one of the best Growl Vockiller in the underground scene. My favorit is, off course, 'Suffer The Children', 'If The Truth Be Known' and 'Mindsnare'. Classic stuff !!

Dusk N' Her Embrace is Cradle of Filth's third release and second full-length album, it's differs greatly from the band's previous two releases in terms of sound. The music is faster and more accomplished, and Dani Filth's vocal gymnastics are at their most extreme. This Album, in my opinion, is the most 'black metal' album among allCradle's great albums. I like them all, but i really love this one.The sound is really atmospheric and dark, really rich with great black metal riffs. I just love to play 'Funeral In Carpathia' on my stereo when i miss Cradle Of Filth. Dusk N' Her Embrace is bloody classic!!

Disavowed is a brutal death metal band from Dutch. Their goal is to write extreme music that is brutal, yet well structured, technical and catchy. After releasing a demo 'Point Of View'and gain a good responses from all over the deathmetal scene, they set to a record deal with the American label Unique Leader Records. In 2001 their first full length debut album entitled ‘Perceptive Deception’ was released.

This album is one of my Top 10 favorite. This album is not only br00tal, fast or technical like other brutal bands in the genre, but also clean and catchy. The riffs are mixture between old school and modern brutal death. It's easy to fit nodding heads in unison with chaotic rhythm. Guttural low-end vokill, mix with downtune guitar riffs, solid picking bass style, and blasbeats drumming, are a real struck to your guts from track to track. Some piece of brutal art !!
A skullcrusher indeed!! highly recommended!!

Hecate Enthroned is a symphonic black metal band from the North of England. The band formed in 1993 under the name Daemonum, A year or so later, they changed their name to Hecate Enthroned, this time playing a more melodic black metal style. In 1995 they recorded their demo "Ode for a Haunted Wood", which got the attention of the British label Blackend Records. Blackend had it re-mastered under the title "Under Promethean Shores (Unscriptured Waters) in 1996."

This album is my favorite classic black metal album. Actually, my twin brother (Idur-311, hail..) bought it when he was in one of his adventure, in the land of the Gods, BALI! Nice choice, Bro !! The album is really cool, started with atmospheric opening 'Promethea' with whispering voice, they struck your ear with Jon's long scream and their melodic track 'The Crimson Thorns'. Then from track to track they explore their darkest dreams with blastbeats and erotic sounds of guitars and keyboards. 'To Feed Upon Thy Dreams' and 'An Ode for A Haunted Wood' is my favorite track. But,overall, i like all the tracks from this album. If you're into black metal,
you got to have this one. Bloody classic, Be sure..!!

Suffocation is the pioneer of original crushing grind/death mixture from New York, USA. Suffocation fused the predominant rhythmic styles of death and speed metal with grindcore song constructions to start a new subgenre of music, "Brutal Death Metal". "Effigy Of The Forgotten" is their debut album. Many says that this album is their best work. It's Classic, It's Legendary. Many brutal bands stated that Suffocation and this album is their main reason to start playing brutal death metal. (Hail to Rotten Corpse for playing them so good !!).

Actually, this album is my first death metal album !! I remember, it was 1992, I was in high school. I bought it from a friend (his brother gave it to him and he hate it !!?, lucky me, huh !!). The first time I played it on my stereo, I was shock and unintensionally drooped my jaws. I thought "What the fxxk is this?!!". The track was "Liege Of Inveracity" and it was fuckin' massive!! My blood is rushing, and my head is banging. I can't stop listen to it until the last track. This album has always in the top of my Top 10 list. If you're a true death metal freaks, you should have this one among your collections. If you haven't got it yet (where the hell have you been?), then get it now. Buy it, borrow it, or even steal it, i don't care !!. Trust me, you won't regret it. It's highly recommended.
